Audiology 4th Year Externship 2025-26: Cochlear Implant Focus
The Koss Cochlear Implant Program at Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin is offering a 4th year externship with a focus on implantable technologies (cochlear implants and bone conduction implants) with adult patients (18+). Approximately half of the externship will be spent working with cochlear and bone conduction implants. During this time, the student will perform candidacy evaluations, device counseling, programming and follow-up, and equipment troubleshooting. The student will gain experience in all areas of audiology during the remaining half of the externship. This will include diagnostic evaluations; vestibular testing; tinnitus evaluation, counseling, and management; and hearing aid evaluation, fitting, and follow-up.
