Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship: | -Take a case history -Strong report writing skills -Competently perform all diagnostic evaluations -Critically think about each case presented -Familiarity with all major hearing aid manufacturers -Working knowledge for vestibular assessment and interpretation. |
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: | -Be proficient in report writing and electronic medical record keeping -Independently perform all diagnostic evaluations -Proficient in counseling, selection, and fitting of hearing aids, -Independently perform and interpret a full vestibular evaluation |
