Professional Hearing Center is seeking a doctoral audiology resident to join our established, busy practice in the Greater Kansas City area. Professional Hearing Center is an audiologist led team of compassionate hearing and balance healthcare professionals committed and focused on improving quality of life through relationships built on trust, excellence, and expertise.
We are dedicated to improving people's lives with the best possible hearing through compassion, innovation, and expertise in all aspects of hearing healthcare. We provide a variety of services including comprehensive, diagnostic hearing exams, amplification services (including hearing aids, osseointegrated devices, and cochlear implants), and specialty opportunities (including tinnitus & hyperacusis management, auditory processing disorder evaluation & treatment, vestibular diagnostics, and aural rehabilitation) to patients at 14 locations (hospitals, Audiology private practices, ENT offices) throughout the Kansas City area working collaboratively with ENT physicians, Otologists, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners as a division of Ascentist Healthcare.
We are a student-focused practice and enjoy supporting students during their 3rd and 4th year clinical placements. As a member of the Professional Hearing Center team, you will gain experience in all aspects of private practice, as well as ENT and Otology patients. The audiologists and staff enjoy gaining a new perspective on patient care through the experience and education of our students. We frequently have several students throughout our locations.
We are seeking two audiology externs for the 2025-2026 year. We provide an excellent learning environment for students, and our audiologists are passionate about mentoring and supporting students during their time with us. Post-externship career opportunities may also be available.
Applicants must have completed their Au.D program thus far in good academic standing by the start of their residency and have proficient audiologic skills including comprehensive audiograms with basic interpretation and management of test findings. General report writing skills and professionalism are essential. General hearing aid knowledge with a history of assisting audiologists with programming, fittings, and counseling. Audiology specialty experience or interest is encouraged, but not required.
