Bluegrass Hearing Clinic offers thorough and comprehensive diagnostic hearing and balance procedures and the most effective hearing solutions to meet the needs of our patients and their diverse lifestyles. Our hearing treatment plans include state-of-the-art hearing aid technology, cochlear implants, osseointegrated hearing devices, tinnitus management devices and maskers, assistive listening devices, hearing protection, swimmolds, custom wireless earbud solutions as well as many other devices and accessories to prevent hearing loss, protect the ears and promote better hearing. We are seeking a full time dispensing audiologist (Au.D.) for employment in a private practice setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strong Diagnostic Skills: Assess and diagnose hearing loss and middle ear function using diagnostic tools appropriate to the patient’s age, ability and special needs. Case history, listening needs assessment, test results and progress notes will be documents.
Counseling: Establish rapport with patients and their family members; discuss test results and counsel patients about treatment planning and make recommendations for hearing care solutions and options.
Treatment Planning: Develop an individualized hearing solution, including selection of hearing aids, earmolds, wireless accessories and supplies. Make ear impressions, ear molds and all necessary measurements to order instruments.
Hearing Aid Dispensing: The fitting process will include fitting, instrument programming, orientation, software modification and repairs as needed. The audiologist will answer patients’ questions and address any problems and/or concerns.
Maintain and organize patient documents, files and computer records for easy, complete and confidential access.
Participate in community education and marketing activities as requested.
Continuing Education: Complete educational programs, mandatory in-services and required continuing education as needed.
Travel between multiple office locations is required within the region.

High level of clinical skill in all areas of hearing diagnosis
Excellent decision-making skills; able to analyze and deal with complex situations
Accuracy and attention to detail
The ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment
Previous experience in a private practice setting
Previous experience with Office Management Software/Audiology software (ie., CounselEar)
As a condition of employment, educational degrees and license requirements will be verified.

Must be enrolled in an accredited Audiology program as a 3rd year student.
Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Must be willing to travel between locations.
The period of employment is estimated to be May 2025-May 2026 (graduation dates will determine this).

Must have some exposure to counseling and integrating test results. Must have some exposure to interpreting test results and communicating information. Must have some exposure to electronic medical records.
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
Better time management in terms of charting, completion of notes, ordering aids, etc. Counseling and intergrating test results in a meaningful manner to a patient. Mastery of audiology evaluations, hearing aid selection, programming, repairs & maintenance. Demonstrate strong communication ability in term of charting and sharing info with other providers.
