Colorado Springs Ear Associates is a private practice Otology/Neurotology practice in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals for our 4th year Au.D. Externship for 2025/2026. In our fast-paced Neurotology setting, you will provide services to a wide range of patients in all areas of audiology. Our staff of 1 otologist, a physician assistant, physical therapist and 4 audiologists will help prepare students for a real-world experience of evidence-based practice with an emphasis on the patient experience.
As a 4th year student you will learn:
- Diagnostic hearing examinations
- Hearing loss counseling
- Surgical observations
- Vestibular testing (VNG, ABR, oVEMP, cVEMP, Rotary Chair)
- Auditory brainstem response testing
- Electrocochleography
- Cochlear implant evaluations and mappings
- Bone anchored hearing aids
- Hearing aid evaluations and fittings
- Wide range of hearing instrument experience
- Lyric extended wear hearing aids
- Conformity/Real Ear evaluations
- Custom hearing protection
