Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: | The following is a list of the common diagnostic and rehabilitative care that the extern should expect to provide: 1. Comprehensive adult audiologic evaluation – Simple and Complex 2. Comprehensive pediatric audiologic evaluation – Simple and Complex 3. Comprehensive vestibular evaluations including VNG, cVEMP and oVEMP and Rotary Chair 4. Electrophysiologic measures including ABR, cVEMP, oVEMP, and EchoG 5. Otoacoustic emissions 6. Immittance measures 7. Cochlear implant evaluations, fitting, verification, validation, follow-up and troubleshooting 8. Bone anchored hearing implant evaluations, fitting, verification, validation, follow-up and troubleshooting 9. Hearing aid evaluations, fitting, verification, validation, follow-up and troubleshooting (including Lyric, OTC, CROS and BICROS fittings) 10. Tinnitus evaluation and treatment 11. Treatment for decreased sound tolerance issues such as misophonia and/or hyperacusis 12. Ear impressions for the purpose of earmolds for; hearing aids, swimming, hearing protection, musicians, etc. |
