Hearing Consultants of Colorado Springs is a well rounded private practice in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. We are seeking one highly motivated and enthusiastic individual for our 4th year Au.D. Externship for 2025/2026. In our fast-paced setting provides services to a wide range of patients in all areas of audiology. Our staff 4 audiologists and 2 audiology assistants as well as several other support staff will help prepare students for a real-world experience of evidence-based practice with an emphasis on the patient experience.

The following is a list of the common diagnostic and rehabilitative care that the extern should expect to provide: 1. Comprehensive adult audiologic evaluation – Simple and Complex 2. Comprehensive pediatric audiologic evaluation – Simple and Complex 3. Comprehensive vestibular evaluations including VNG, cVEMP and oVEMP and Rotary Chair 4. Electrophysiologic measures including ABR, cVEMP, oVEMP, and EchoG 5. Otoacoustic emissions 6. Immittance measures 7. Cochlear implant evaluations, fitting, verification, validation, follow-up and troubleshooting 8. Bone anchored hearing implant evaluations, fitting, verification, validation, follow-up and troubleshooting 9. Hearing aid evaluations, fitting, verification, validation, follow-up and troubleshooting (including Lyric, OTC, CROS and BICROS fittings) 10. Tinnitus evaluation and treatment 11. Treatment for decreased sound tolerance issues such as misophonia and/or hyperacusis 12. Ear impressions for the purpose of earmolds for; hearing aids, swimming, hearing protection, musicians, etc.
