The USC Caruso Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine is seeking an outstanding applicant for the Audiology Extern position. This position is open to applicants seeking a full time 4th year (or 3rd year, if applicable) clinical placement as a condition of completing the AuD degree from an accredited university. The Trainee will implement audiology services primarily for children and for some adults at the USC Caruso Family Center. Assessments will include newborn screening and diagnostic assessments, behavioral audiologic evaluations, hearing aid selection/fitting and dispensing under the supervision of a licensed dispensing audiologist, and cochlear implant procedures.
Term: Start 07/01/2025 to 06/3/2026
Stipend: $32,000 annually
Minimum Education: Doctoral candidate
Minimum Experience: 0 - 6 months Minimum
Field of Expertise: Audiology experience. California license eligible. Knowledge of safety precautions appropriate to clinical setting. Completed coursework required by the applicant's university for audiology doctoral degree This position satisfies required 1 year clinical placement to complete doctoral degree and qualify for state licensure.
