ENT Associates of East Texas is a large six physician, six audiologist practice serving the Tyler and Longview, Texas communities for over 30 years. We’re currently searching for our next great 4th year Audiology Interns to start May 2025. Tyler is located approximately 40 miles from our satellite location in Longview, 90 miles southeast of Dallas, and 60 miles west of Shreveport, LA. Tyler is a large medical community with four hospitals, over 400 physicians, and also serves as the regional trauma center.
Our clinic is a busy one where we see about 150 patients a day. We offer a wide range of ancillary services including allergy services, balance testing, and vestibular rehabilitation. We operate a thriving and rapidly growing hearing aid center, SoundLogic.
Candidates should have experience in all areas of audiology, strong technical skills, and be able to function mostly independently within 5-7weeks. The strongest candidates will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, exhibit excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and be able to work with all types of personalities.
This is a full time position. The week will be structured in a way that allows the student to gain experience with adult and pediatric audiometry, electrophysiology, and VNG. A strong emphasis will also be placed on hearing aids, including hearing aid selection, dispensing, repair, and follow up.
Applicants must have mastered:
Basic comprehensive audiometry on normal adults
Immittance testing and interpretation
Diagnostic OAE administration
Counseling on care and use of hearing devices
Expected to learn:
VNG & ECochG test administration and interpretation
Follow-up programming of hearing devices
Hearing device selection and fitting
Pediatric testing
Cochlear implant evaluation testing
Cochlear implant mapping
Pediatric amplification
