Are you a motivated audiology student ready to take your skills to the next level? Austin Auditory Specialists is seeking a dedicated extern to join our team for an enriching learning experience under the supervision of our strong, supportive team of CCC-A audiologists. In this role, you'll dive deep into the world of diagnostics and hearing aids by providing best practices and gaining hands-on experience with fitting, programming, and troubleshooting a variety of devices to meet individual patient needs. You'll also work closely with patients that have tinnitus or central auditory processing disorders.
Counseling and patient education are foundational components of our practice, so you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in providing compassionate and effective support to patients and their families. Our ENTs are a fantastic, younger team that actively collaborates with our Audiologists, allowing our patients to obtain the holistic patient care they deserve in one place. Additionally, our practice is unique in that we are a private practice working alongside our ENT counterpart so you will gain exposure to the business side of running a successful practice.
This externship is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of both the clinical and administrative aspects of audiology, preparing you for a successful career in the field.
