We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic audiology extern to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a 4^th year extern to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic clinical setting. The extern will work closely with Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) specialists, primary care physicians, speech pathologists, teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, and others to provide comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the assessment and management of hearing disorders under the supervision of our licensed audiologist.
• Program hearing aids and osseointegrated devices (OIDs) using best practices.
• Perform repeat newborn hearing screenings for newborns who did not pass their initial hearing screening in the nursery.
• Engage with the teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in the region to support educational strategies and accommodations for students with hearing loss.
• Participate in discussions and contribute to patient care planning.
• Assist in maintaining an organized and stocked audiology clinic.
• Refer as necessary for cochlear implant evaluations and central auditory processing disorder (CAPD) evaluations.
