Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: | Comprehensive hearing evaluations with effective masking, including bilateral conductive/mixed hearing loss, Hearing Aid Evaluations, HA fitting/dispensing including real ear verification, effective use of validation tools, HA troubleshooting, HA follow up, counseling on effective communication strategies, counseling on use of accessories as well when to recommend them as part of a treatment option, CI candidacy, activation, and follow-up. |
