Continuing education opportunities? | Yes Externs are scheduled with one-on-one training for all manufacturers within the first 2 months of starting. They are also invited to all additional manufacturer trainings. Due to our size, we typically have 5-7 off-site evening trainings per year for just our practice. HES is also part of CQ Partners, who also provides training. |

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship: | Otoscopy, comprehensive audiometric evaluation, tympanometry, OAEs, basic hearing aid trouble shooting and programming. |
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: | Over the course of the 12 month externship, students will become independent in comprehensive audiometric evaluations, vestibular evaluations, and hearing aid fitting and troubleshooting. They will also become independent in report writing, charting, and general audiology business practice. |
