This is an excellent opportunity for an Au.D. student looking to work in a dynamic and patient-centric, private medically-based ENT and audiology practice in Fredericksburg, VA. Our ENT staff currently consists of six otolaryngologists, two nurse practitioners, and two physician’s assistants, and our Hearing Resource Center consists of five CCC-A audiologists and two Hearing Instrument Specialists. We have three offices that cover Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, and the surrounding area.
This externship offers an opportunity to see and treat a wide range of ear pathologies. The extern’s duties include a full range of diagnostic testing including:
· comprehensive audiological evaluations
· vestibular evaluations
· newborn hearing screenings
· tinnitus evaluations
· auditory processing disorder screenings
· electrophysiological testing
· dispensing hearing instruments including Earlens and Lenire

Requirements:
· 40-hour work week
· Travel to Fredericksburg office and 2 satellite offices (each located about 30 minutes from Fredericksburg)
· Knowledge and skill required of basic test battery and basic skills in hearing aid troubleshooting, programming and dispensing
· Knowledge of basic audiologic and vestibular disorders
· Strong organizational skills
· Knowledge of fitting major manufacturers’ hearing aids, and capable of troubleshooting.
· Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients
· Independently interpret results
· Motivated with a strong work ethic
Offer:
· $40,000 annual salary

Ear, Nose & Throat and Facial Plastic Surgery Center is located in historic Fredericksburg, Virginia and has been open for nearly 40 years. The practice is privately owned by seven ENT physicians and is constantly growing and developing in order to provide the best care possible to our patients.
