NOTE: This position is for a 4th year externship ONLY. It is NOT for a full time audiologist position.
The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is based in Cleveland, Ohio where the main VA medical center is located. We have 7 soundbooths and a full balance lab, including VNG, rotary chair, VEMP, VHit, and posturography. The Audiology staff consists of 23 audiologists and 1 health technician. In addition to the main hospital, we have audiology clinics at four outpatient clinics (Akron, Canton, Parma, Mansfield) and two mobile medical units (Lorain, Youngstown) that may travel to other outpatient clinics. The fourth-year externship will provide students with a wide range of opportunities including hearing evaluations, hearing aid selection/fitting/troubleshooting, real-ear measurements, electrophysiologic measures (ABR, VEMP), vestibular testing, and OAEs. We also have a cochlear implant program, tinnitus management program, and telehealth program. We will be offering two fully funded extern positions. Interviews for this position will be held at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in September.
The applicant must be in an accredited AuD program and must be a US citizen. This position posting is ONLY for a 4th year externship.
