Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship: | -comprehensive hearing test on typical developing adult, -some pediatric testing, -some hearing aid programming knowledge |
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: | -master comprehensive hearing test on all populations and all ages, -master hearing aid fitting, verification and validation, -FM/DM fitting, ALD fitting - master ABR and CAEP testing - exposure to APD testing and TRT - improve counseling skills and speaker skills for presentations - enhance audiology skills by working with multidisciplinary team |
