| Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: | During the externship, the student will: • Improve efficiency in diagnostic testing and counseling skills • Strengthen clinical decision making-skills • Demonstrate proficiency in hearing aid technology • Demonstrate proficiency in vestibular evaluations (VNGs) • Demonstrate proficiency in cochlear implant evaluations and programming • Demonstrate proficiency in evoked potential assessments (ABRs & cVEMPs) • Perform intraoperative testing during cochlear implant surgeries |
