Children's National Hospital is seeking two audiology externs to begin a 12-month externship in May of 2026. Join our team of 11 pediatric audiologists working across different locations in the Washington DC area. The main hospital is located in Northwest Washington DC with satellite offices in Maryland and Virginia.
We offer a wide range of inpatient and outpatient audiology services. Externs will gain experience working with children from birth - 21 years in areas of diagnostic evaluation, hearing aid fitting, cochlear implant evaluation and programming, and vestibular evaluation. Externs will work as part of several multidisciplinary teams – Cochlear Implant (CI), Vestibular, Craniofacial, Inpatient, Oncology (sister Hospital to St. Jude), Turner Syndrome.
Externs will also participate in the Children's National Hospital LEND Program. LEND is an interdisciplinary leadership training initiative aimed at improving the health of individuals with or at risk for developing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities (DD).
