Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship: | We understand this is an ongoing learning experience where you will have the opportunity to practice and master necessary skills to succeed as a professional post graduation. However, we hope our applicants have adequate foundational skills in order to complete the following: - Otoscopy -Tympanometry -Standard comprehensive audiometric evaluation -Earmold impressions -Verifying hearing aid technology (any manufacturer) |
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: | Our goal is for our applicant to be proficient at the above skills in addition to: verification, troubleshooting and programming for appropriate amplification (all major manufacturers), hearing aid consultations, hearing aid fittings, AOI fittings, troubleshooting and programming, VNG/vHIT & Electrophysiologic testing (ABR, VEMP & ECochGs) |
