Communication or other support do expected or required from the university during the externship: | A positive working relationship between the University program and NYU CIC relies on acceptance of each party's philosophies, procedures and expectations. The University or academic institution's clinical education philosophy must be compatible with that of our Center. We have strong collaborative relationships with other clinical departments and expect a similar, collaborative approach between externs, supervisors and University clinical coordinators. For this reason, we welcome University staff to attend introductory meetings with the NYU CIC staff. After an introductory meeting, a tour of the facilities and an observation session can be arranged. |

All documents should be submitted electronically in a single PDF document to Lisa.Goldin@nyulangone.org. Letters of recommendation can be submitted with the other application materials or sent directly to Dr. Goldin by the recommender. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Candidates will be contacted to arrange an in-person interview. All in-person interviews will be held on Tuesday, September 30. Upon selection of the audiology extern for the academic year, NYU's Human Resources Department will provide a formal offer letter and instructions for onboarding. All offers are contingent on a signed offer between NYU and the extern's graduate program and on approval from NYU Human Resources. The onboarding process must be completed within 3-months of the official start date.
Applicants cannot apply to both the NYU CIC and NYU Hearing and Balance Center - you may only apply to one.
