 Our Pediatric Audiologists provide a full range of comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation services, including diagnostic assessment, ABR testing, hearing aid and BAHS fitting, cochlear implant evaluation and programming, and CAPD assessment.&#xa0; 
 Join a collegial team with 4 Audiologists, 7 Speech and Language Pathologists, 2 ENT Physicians, and an Advanced Practice Provider 
 Participation in interdisciplinary ECHO team meetings 
 Assist with provision of educational and community outreach

 Supervision, instruction, and evaluation of Audiology graduate students

 Administration and interpretation of objective, behavioral, and electrophysiological measures of auditory function. 
 Examine patients with ear, hearing, or balance and other related difficulties and interpret results based on evidence-based practices. 
 Conduct pediatric hearing evaluations including auditory brainstem response testing, otoacoustic emissions, behavioral observation audiometry, visual reinforcement audiometry, conditioned play audiometry, standard audiometry, and immittance testing. 
 Evaluate the appropriateness of amplification for patients and make direct referrals to managing pediatric clinics in the community. 
 Conducting daily clinical tasks including: report-writing, consultation with families, referrals, and consulting with outside professionals (i.e. dispensing audiologists, schools, therapists, etc.). 
 Maintain and enhance professional relationships with JTC staff, medical professionals, community audiologists, and educational specialists. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients/families and JTC staff.

 Qualifications: 
 
 Willingness to travel extensively on a regular basis. Visit schedule is approximately 4 facilities per week and averages 20 visits per month. Heavy overnight travel is required, all travel expenses are covered. The workday is usually a 7-house day.&#xa0; Usual schedule is working 3-4 days a week and have a long weekend. 
 
 
 Candidate must have reliable transportation and be adept at geographically scheduling travel to and from the facilities. Rental cars can be provided, mileage and other costs are paid for as well. 
 
 
 Candidate MUST have an active and clear AUDIOLOGIST LICENSE in the state of performed work -ILL or eligible to obtain quickly. 
 
 
 Candidate must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening as required. 
 
 
 Candidate should have a comfort level working with inmates under guard in a correctional environment. The Audiologist is never alone with the patients, staff/guard is always present.

 Major Responsibilities: 
 
 The primary responsibility is to perform a wide range of audiological test procedures and make proper recommendations/referral for medical intervention/follow-up as needed 
 This role works closely with physicians in the Department of Otolaryngology, as well as UNLV Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine and community physicians, by conducting tests that will help determine course of treatment, verify surgical outcomes, and provide critical support for hearing implants. 
 Major responsibilities include performing audiometric evaluations on adults and children of all ages; otoacoustic emissions (OAE); Eustachian tube function testing; Videonystagmography (VNG); tinnitus/hyperacusis evaluations; and candidacy assessments, counseling, and programming as appropriate for hearing aids, cochlear implants, and bone conduction systems 
 Participate as a member of the Cochlear and Bone Conduction Implant multi-disciplinary team 
 Other duties may include research, medical student education, and audiology extern precepting supervision, as well as detailed charting, administrative work, and patient education. 
 Requirements and Qualifications:&#xa0; 
 
 Minimum of Master&#8217;s Degree in Audiology (Clinical Doctorate of Audiology preferred) 
 At least two (2) years of practical experience in the area of audiology&#xa0;&#xa0; 
 Knowledgeable about hearing disorders and aural rehabilitation for patient of all ages, including appropriate medical follow-up, as needed
