								<description>Orlando, Florida,  We are seeking a highly motivated, professional audiologist to join 4 pediatric otolaryngologists and audiologists in Orlando, FL.&#xa0; Join a dynamic team providing the highest quality age-appropriate care for patients newborn to 18 years of age, with occasional adult patients within the scope of practice and established audiology standards and functioning effectively as a member of the rehabilitation team. 
 &#xa0; 
 Responsibilities include: 
 &#xb7; Provides diagnostic assessments, including behavioral audiometry, visual reinforcement audiometry, conditioned play audiometry, standard audiometry and central auditory processing testing as assigned. 
 &#xb7; Conducts hearing aid evaluations, selects/fits/dispenses hearing aids and assist devices, and provides training in use 
 &#xb7; Counsels parent(s) regarding hearing loss, communication options, and financial resources. 
 &#xb7; Provides bone anchored device programming, potential for cochlear implant programming based on patient census and program development. 
 &#xb7; Completes documentation meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy, and timeliness. 
 &#xb7; Provides supervision to audiology interns as assigned. 
 &#xb7; Includes family/caregiver in patient care and provides effective education appropriate for learning needs of patient and family. 
 &#xb7; Knowledge of pediatric theory and practice 
 &#xb7; Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective communication of information 
 &#xb7; Positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in an interdisciplinary environment 
 &#xb7; Travel to other Children &#8216;s Ear Nose Throat and Allergy locations based on patient census, program development, and/or contract obligation with physician practices 
 *Entry level candidates are welcome to apply with experience in pediatrics. Master&#39;s Degree in Audiology and/or Doctorate of Audiology required. Those candidates already in possession of a Florida audiology license will be given preference.

 Although known for its theme parks and year-round sunshine, Orlando is equally appealing to nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. White-sand Florida beaches are an easy one-hour drive away, abundant parks and natural areas boast recreational activities and wildlife viewing, and golf-lovers flock to the plentiful premier courses. Disney World and Universal Studios top the list of entertainment activities but there are also a multitude of restaurants, festivals and sporting events to attend. With a diverse population, Orlando has built a cohesive community of reasonably priced residential housing from quaint rural towns to upscale enclaves, many on the numerous lakes dotting the area. Private and public education is excellent with several nationally ranked colleges located nearby. The cost of living is lower than state and national averages and there is no state income tax. 
 Master&#39;s degree in Audiology if before 2007 or Doctorate in Audiology 
 State licensure as an Audiologist 
 Prior experience in pediatric audiology preferred 
 Strong knowledge of diagnostic tests and treatment options for pediatric hearing disorders 
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
 Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team 
 Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care 
 Knowledge of programming hearing aids, cochlear implants and OSIA devices 
 Salary is negotiable based on years of experience.

								<description>Pittsburgh, PA,  UPMC Children&#8217;s Hospital of Pittsburgh is hiring a full time Audiologist to work at the main location in Lawrenceville, Wexford, South Fayette and Monroeville locations. The person in this role will work 4, 10-hour days, Monday-Friday.&#xa0; 
 The Audiologist will report to the Director and in their absence to the Senior Audiologist. The Audiologist perform clinical tests of hearing or hearing-related functions for the assessment of hearing abilities and/or for purposes of contributing to medical diagnoses of hearing and other neurological disorders, interprets and counsels patient as per the implications of the findings and, in appropriate cases, provides rehabilitative services primarily involving the use of hearing aids and other assistive listening technology. 
 Primary Responsibilities: 
 
 Performs other special duties: it is generally expected that an audiologist will develop some special skill and share this skill by accepting a special responsibility. 
 Demonstrates basics of service excellence towards patients, visitors, staff, peers, physicians, and other departments. 
 Sees that test equipment he/she uses is well maintained by being observant of signs of malfunctioning and reporting problems to the Senior Audiologist, Director, or service contractor (if appropriate). 
 Administration of routine Audiology tests. 
 Interpretation of test findings and management. 
 The audiologist shall demonstrate competence in administering no less than 5 tests beyond the basic audiologic test battery. 
 Performs additional hearing-aid related services. 
 The audiologist is expected to contribute to no less than two hours per year of didactic instruction to medical students or residents or ten hours per year of supervision of residents or Audiology Students. 
 The audiologist is expected to participate in no less than one public hearing screening program per year or other extramural public relation program of similar time commitment. 
 Using appropriate test methods, selects appropriate hearing aids for potential or known wearers, evaluates success with use of instrument, and provides counseling in the use of the instrument. 
 Takes part in clinical research projects as requested by the Director. Responsible for data collection, analysis, and written descriptions. 
 Qualifications: 
 
 Master&#8217;s degree or AUD (clinical doctorate). 
 Audiology State License in the practicing state (20 hours of continuing education every two years). 
 Audiologists maintain privileges at all satellite hospitals and maintain provider privileges (including Medicare UPIN #&#8217;s) for all accepted insurance products 
 
 Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: 
 
 Audiology State License in the practicing state. 
 Licensed Clinical Audiologist 
 Act 33/34/73 with renewal
