Norton Children’s Medical Group - Audiology and Speech is a thriving pediatric hearing center dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Our facility offers a comprehensive range of services, including:
- Behavioral audiometry (VRA, CPA, standard audiometry)
- Sedated and natural sleep auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing
- Outpatient newborn hearing screenings
- Hearing aid evaluation, fitting, and follow-up care
- Bone-anchored hearing device evaluation, programming, and follow-up care
- Cochlear implant evaluation, programming, and follow-up care
Little Ears Hearing Center integrated with Norton Children’s Medical Group in 2021. This integration allowed for expansion of our multidisciplinary approach to care.

Our Team
Our collaborative and dynamic team includes:
- 7 pediatric audiologists
- A 4th-year audiology extern
- 2 speech-language pathologists specializing in hearing loss
- 5 pediatric ENT providers including a cochlear implant surgeon
Our providers collaborate with a variety of other departments, including infectious disease, hematology/oncology, anesthesia, developmental pediatrics, genetics, and inpatient hospital-based services.
In addition to the externship, our facility also provides clinical education opportunities in partnership with the University of Louisville’s AuD and SLP programs.
Externship Overview
During the externship, you will have opportunities to work closely with families to address their concerns, and provide personalized care plans tailored to each child's needs alongside the precepting audiologists. Your interactions with patients and families will be pivotal in shaping their hearing health journey and improving their quality of life.
