Neuroscience Specialty Centers (NSC) is a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic located in Atlanta, GA, providing comprehensive care for patients with complex neurological and vestibular disorders. Our team includes audiologists with advanced training in vestibular science, neurologists, and physician assistants. We are committed to evidence-based care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing clinical practice through education and research.
Externship Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic fourth-year audiology extern with a strong interest in vestibular evaluation and rehabilitation management. The extern will work alongside experienced vestibular audiologists and other medical professionals to evaluate and manage patients with dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, and complex vestibular pathologies.
Externs will gain advanced, hands-on experience in:
Remote vestibular diagnostics through Topple Diagnostics
Neuroaudiology, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological disorders
We place a strong emphasis on vestibular anatomy & physiology, clinical reasoning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and developing proficiency in interpreting complex vestibular test results.
Outside of clinical experience, applicants can expect to gain experience in education, business, marketing, and practice management.
Au.D. student in good standing at an accredited university
Strong interest in vestibular sciences and balance disorders
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Solid foundation in vestibular assessments and pathophysiology preferred
