Job Description:
Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH), a proud member of North Country Healthcare, is seeking a compassionate Audiologist to join our ENT & Specialty Services team. This role supports growing community demand and offers flexible scheduling, including per diem or temporary assignments, with part- or full-time opportunities possible.
You’ll provide evidence-based diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology care across the lifespan while working collaboratively with an experienced ENT surgeon and APPs. This is an excellent opportunity for an Audiologist who values meaningful patient relationships, clinical autonomy, and a supportive team culture, all within a rural health system deeply committed to community-based care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive evaluations for hearing, balance, and tinnitus disorders using behavioral and objective testing methods
Interpret test findings and develop evidence-based treatment plans
Provide hearing aid evaluation, selection, fitting, programming, and follow-up care
Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss, device options, and communication strategies
Provide audiologic rehabilitation including communication training and hearing assistive technology recommendations
Manage tinnitus through non-medical approaches
Collaborate with ENT providers, neurologists, and physical therapists as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR
Deliver high-quality care aligned with AVH values of compassion, teamwork, and clinical excellence
Services are provided primarily at AVH, with occasional outreach at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital (Colebrook). Typical outpatient schedules run weekdays during standard clinic hours, with no call responsibilities.
Qualifications
AuD or Master’s degree in Audiology required
Active or eligible New Hampshire Audiology license
Minimum 2 years of audiology experience preferred, especially for temporary/per diem assignments
New graduates may be considered for permanent roles
Strong interpersonal communication and patient-education skills
Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Comfort working in a rural healthcare setting
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
